Behind the Scenes of the Daxie Summer Photoshoot

(Sun, squints, bubbles, and a few surprise stars)

If you know us (hi, we're Lin and Natalie), you’ll know we’re much more comfortable fitting glasses than posing in them. But when it came to the new Daxie Eyewear website, we knew it was time to get in front of the camera.

Enter Suzy from Suzy Red Photography, warm, brilliant, and incredibly good at capturing real moments without making you feel like you’re in a catalogue shoot. She somehow made us forget the lenses were even there (the camera ones, at least).

The star of the show was our fabulous Sasha, the new Face of Daxie for Summer 2025, who managed to make every frame; from sleek classics to green sunglasses with serious main character energy, look effortless.

We were lucky to be joined by our dear friends Christopher Biggins and his husband Neil, and Sophie from Inkie, who kept us organised, hydrated, and in the shade (just about) with the help of an enormous, slightly chaotic parasol.

Our usual pack of sausage dogs had been diplomatically rehomed for the afternoon (thank you, lovely neighbour), as they had definite plans to hijack the whole shoot. Still, Suzy managed to sneak in a few shots of Princess Elsie, who takes centre stage whether she’s meant to or not.

There were glasses. There were glasses of bubbly. There was a lot of laughter and more than a few blinked takes. And we hope when you see the final shots, you’ll feel exactly what we felt on the day:
